Mission Farewell

Justin's younger brother just got called to the B.A. North mission in Argentina!  We were so excited for him because Justin served in the West mission.  Jaren's farewell was last Sunday and so we decided last minute to head down to Arizona to wish him farewell.   It was pretty crazy because the we had planned Spring break as our farewell to him but the Sunday before Jaren left we just decided that we NEEDED to go.  We left the Friday at 5pm right when Justin got off work and got to AZ at 2am.  We took all the kids and actually did great!  The kids slept and watched movies so the drive was great.

Saturday we kind of all slept in and then went to Michelle's volleyball tournament which they WON!!  Michelle won the winning point!  She is so amazing!  She also just got her act score back and got a 30 on the ACT!!!  She was thinking she probably needed to study and take it again, but now she has no worries and hopefully will be guaranteed a spot at BYU!

After the volley ball game we met up with Grandma and Grandpa G'litta at their house after eating great mexican food. Rhead was in love with their dog.  He chased him for an hour straight.  That evening we swam in the pool.  Had a huge pizza party!  Played with cousins!  It was a great trip.  The best part was Rhead didn't have any INJURIES!!!

The sacrament meeting was beautiful.  It started off so well with two Beehives baring their testimonies. One spoke about having a trial with playing soccer on Sunday and how in G.C.  she heard the talk about how the girl felt horrible after playing so she knew she was making the right decision.  Then Jaren spoke about loving thy neighbor.  He talked about how this kid at school who had no friends was given the opportunity to serve and carry the torch for the olympics.  He said that we need to be aware of those that might need something special by following the promptings of the spirit.  Then the other missionary talked about love God.  He talked about football and how his coach kept making him run because he had a bad attitude.  He said that finally he realized that his coach didn't hate him but that he was only trying to get him to forget his troubles and put his mind in the right place.  He related that back to our Heavenly Father and how he loves each one of us and that everything we go through is for our good and making us become more like him.

We were just so thankful that we made the sacrifice to drive down to Arizona to wish Jaren a happy farewell.  It was so wonderful seeing so much family and being able to spend a day them!  Sorry this post is so brief and not written well.  It is hard to blog with a baby!  I just never want to put McKay down since I know he is going to be crawling soon :(
